Geography is a fascinating subject which provides young adults with the knowledge and skills essential for life in the modern world. The subject is especially useful for people who meet the general public in the course of their work: doctors, nurses, bank clerks and travel agents are just four examples of groups who regularly need to use their geographical knowledge of people and places.

Our aim at St. Monica’s is to teach this subject in interesting and varied ways. These include group work, fieldwork outside the classroom and the use of computer programmes to develop key skills.
